Black Eagle Recovery was founded in Eltham, SE9 in 2014 by Ali — a single operator with a flatbed truck and a simple belief that people stranded on the side of the road deserve a fast, honest, and professional response. A decade later, that belief still drives everything we do.
Ali — Founder & Lead Operator
Ali started Black Eagle Recovery in 2014 after years working in the vehicle recovery industry and seeing first-hand how poorly many operators treated their customers — slow response times, unclear pricing, and vehicles handled without care.
He set out to build something different: a recovery company based in SE9 Eltham that would answer every call, arrive when promised, and treat every vehicle — whether a 10-year-old hatchback or a £300,000 Ferrari — with the same level of care and professionalism.
Ten years on, Ali remains personally involved in every specialist job. When a supercar needs transporting, when an EV breaks down on the M25, or when a customer has put the wrong fuel in their car at 3am — Ali is the one who picks up the phone and makes sure the right operator with the right equipment is dispatched.
That hands-on approach is why customers who called us once in an emergency become long-term fleet account clients.

Founded in Eltham, SE9
Ali launched Black Eagle Recovery from Eltham with a single flatbed truck and a commitment to being the most reliable recovery operator in South East London. The first jobs were local — breakdowns on the A20, wrong fuel on the A2, and accident recoveries on the M25.
Expanded to Kent & Essex
Growing demand from customers across the Dartford Crossing and into Kent led to the first network expansion. Black Eagle began covering the M20, A2, and M2 corridors, establishing relationships with dealers and fleet operators in the region.
Specialist Equipment Added
Investment in specialist low-loader flatbed equipment with hydraulic ramps and enclosed transport capability allowed Black Eagle to begin handling supercar transport, EV recovery, and non-runner collection — services most recovery companies could not offer.
Fleet Accounts & B2B Growth
The fleet accounts division was established to serve commercial operators, tradespeople, and businesses with multiple vehicles. Regular contracts with construction firms, courier companies, and prestige car dealers followed.
Surrey, Hertfordshire & Sussex Coverage
The network expanded to cover Surrey, Hertfordshire, East Sussex, and West Sussex — giving Black Eagle Recovery one of the broadest coverage footprints of any independent operator in the South East.
10 Years — Still Growing
A decade after the first callout, Black Eagle Recovery continues to grow. The team now covers over 200 towns and areas across London and the South East, with specialist services for supercars, EVs, motorcycles, HGVs, and fleet vehicles.
